The Music Department offers all its users a number of RSS newsfeeds with the changing content of our site, with particular emphasis on news items, forthcoming concerts and events, in both the Gulbenkian Music Season and the programmes for Jazz em Agosto and, of course, our audio podcasts.
To make use of our RSS newsfeeds (or any others), you need an RSS reader / aggregator which brings the channels together in a single interface, where all the information converges. The freeware and shareware market offers dozens of programs for all operating systems, as well as plug-ins for browsers, email programs, mobile phones, etc.. There are also web-based systems, normally free, including in particular: Bloglines, Google Reader and NewsGator. For a full list, click here.
Note: Clicking on the OPML / RSS links on your browser may merely call up a raw XML file, which may be of little or no interest. You will obviously have to add the URL addresses, by using copy and paste, for example, in your RSS reader / aggregator, to make full use of this magnificent technology.
